Jeddah: The Jeddah CIGl Women Collective (JCWC), a prominent voice for women in Jeddah, celebrated its second anniversary, Isthid’aa, with the launch of its magazine Niswa. The event took place on January 25 at the Al Nuqba Convention Center, bringing together women achievers and supporters of women empowerment.

Jeddah CIGl Chairman Muhammad Kunhi and K.T. Abubacker commended JCWC for setting a remarkable example of collective effort in social upliftment and women’s empowerment. Chief guest Dr. Mushtaq Muhammad Ali introduced the audience to ten inspiring women who have excelled in various fields of Islamic history, encouraging everyone to follow their lead.
Another notable moment was the stage launch of JCWC member Mrs. Jeseena Mujeeb’s book, Minnaminnikootam, which received a thoughtful review by author Rajia Veeran.
The celebration featured artistic performances by JCWC members, showcasing their diverse talents. Presenters for the event included Irfana Sajeer, Dr. Rasha Naseehu, Ar. Aysha Vazna, Ameena Thanzeem, and Aysha Rancy.
The program opened with a soulful Qira’ath by Dr. Nikhida Mohammed, followed by a welcome speech from Muna Kassim CV. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Nabeela Aboobacker, leaving the audience inspired and uplifted.
